Project Engineer (Electrical)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at DJR Power Sdn
Bhd to work on as Tendering and Technical Support for Site at out Cheras HQ Office. Apart from
technical knowledge and expertise, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing
electrical projects, ensuring their successful execution, and providing technical guidance to the
electrical team. If you have the relevant experience on managing tender submission, excellent
technical knowledge, and a proven track record in electrical project management, we would
love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of design calculations, shop drawings, as build drawings, operation and manual (O&M), catalogues as per project specifications, and tender documents for the design projects according to requirements for submission under supervision of engineers/ managers. (Costing Budget, BOQ, Material Spec, Method Statement, Variation Order, Work Program, Project Planning, etc.)
- Assist in liaison and coordination with Local Authority Departments to obtain approval on design projects. (ST, Telekom, TIME, MBPP, JKR & TNB, etc)
- Assist Project Manager in essential building tasks, new machine installation, re-layout such as estimating, contracts or site planning.
- Monitoring build progress, preparing sites before construction work begins & supervising contractor teams
- Communicate with clients on requirements and specification for request for proposals (RFP)
- Conduct status review meetings among project team members, subcontractors and clients.
- Ensure technical proposals comply with local rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
- Professional certification in Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM) or its equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of proven working experience as an Electrical Project Engineer or similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Able to simplify technical terms for the benefit of other non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Knowledgeable on industry standards including, but not limited to API, ISO, MSS, ASTM and DIN
- Proficiency with MS office Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
- Strong capability of Malay and English written and spoken language.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel outstation for work on short notice

Intern Quantity Surveying, Project Engineer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for university students to join our Electrical Department as part of their academic internship. This role provides an excellent chance to gain practical experience in tender preparation, project estimation, and the electrical industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of electrical project tenders and quotations
- Support with the cost estimation and pricing of electrical projects
- Help compile technical specifications and documentation for tender submissions
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure tender compliance and accuracy
- Support in preparing and submitting tender documents in a timely manner
Requirements
Required Background
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Currently enrolled in a relevant educational program or recent graduate
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and tendering processes
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team
